The Palettes of Christmas Past

I always really look forward to MAC's Holiday collection each year, in particular for the eyeshadow palettes. I adore the exquisite packaging which is so different each season, great new colours and the cute little brush. I have indulged in one, without fail, for the past 4 years now.

2006's black lace covered palette was from the Formal Black collection and was a Christmas present from my friend Hele. 2008's Red She Said palette was a Christmas present from my brothers and the Royal Assets palette from 2007 was a Christmas present to myself! The Luxuries palette from 2005 is just too long ago for me to remember!

My favourite palette colourwise has to be the Formal Black palette, I use it far more than the others. Looking at them all together I can't help thinking that this year the colours just weren't as pretty as previous collections. I suppose the packaging more than makes up for it though!
