Sounds to good to be true doesn't it but trust me it isn't.
I honestly thought I'd found as close to perfection as I could get with Nars Sheer Matte, still a great foundation offering coverage, shine control and lasting power but unfortunately not flawless skin.
I often found it difficult to blend and hard to get it to look natural around certain areas such as my nose, between my eyebrows and on my chin. Yes, it does control shine and offer good coverage but for me it's just that little bit too cakey.
YSL does exactly what Nars does but even better by offering completely weightless coverage on the skin, so good in fact that over the past few weeks I've had more complementary comments on my skin's appearance than ever before.
- Oil free formula - perfect for those like myself with oily skin meaning it will last much longer on the skin.
- SPF10 - SPF is always essential in a face product for protection from the sun.
- 14hour wear - I can confirm that even on my mega oily skin this does indeed stay put from morning to night.
- Endless comfort - the formulation is so light, it feels like your own skin when applied and blended allowing for a flawless and natural finish.
- Transfer Resistant - no nasty foundation marks on your white shirts.
- Medium and buildable coverage.
- A PUMP - thank you YSL for offering a handy pump so you can only take as much as you need and no mess!
- 8 shades for most undertones, if you have a peach undertone like me then 5's your number!
- Leaves a matte but semi-luminous finish!
It is the first foundation that I never need to touch up throughout the day or wear a powder with. I love how it is easy to apply and a little really does go a long way, I use three small pumps for my whole face.
The finish is neither matte or luminous it is a nice mixture of the two which I love, I'm not a fan of the glowy finishes due to my oily skin but neither do I like the pure matte look which often makes skin look flat and unhealthy.
Has anyone else tried this? What did you think?

Sounds amazing, I am definitely going to be testing this out! Loving the pic of Lily and you. Adorable!! x
I am definatly going to buy this! How much did it cost? Im using Max factor second skin at the moment and the coverage on it is just not enough. Thanks for this review xxx

omg, this sounds amazing!
youve just described my skin and what i want in a foundation!
too bad ive just bought like three foundation...might just try this one tho!:)
Ooooo, thanks sooo much for doing this review! I've always eyed this but never took the plunge to get it. It's so freakin' expensive (but then again, aren't ALL YSL products??)
I am currently trying NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, and it's great so far. But I just want a foundation that feels "natural" and still is there at the end of my 10-hour work day. Would you say that the Teint Resist is better than NARS foundation in that aspect?? Thanks for your help! :)
your skin looks great !
I will be trying this after your review! I always trust your foundation reviews as like you, I have oily skin and it drives me mad trying to find the perfect foundation!
xx
OMG! Your skin looks flawless. Love the lippie..
Loving the suggestion...might have to wait till next payday! How is it in comparision to Dior Forever? That's the best one for me so far...Estee Lauder was just too thick and gloopy! xx
What a great review. I think though that your eye makeup and that lip color stole the show for me! Great blog, just started following ya!!
your skin looks really good here. =D Its a bit pricey for me though
Gorgeous photo of you and Lily! The foundation looks great on you, I really want to try it out now! I've tried a YSL foundation before but it went all crumbly on me...hope that doesn't happen with this!
XO
wow that looks so good!
hey im a new follow btw :)
I think I'm definitely gonna try this seen as I was about to buy a new one anyway!

Hi, I've tried so many different foundations recently, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Bare Minerals, and I'm not happy with any of them, they are all either too matte or too shiny. Do you think this would be a good alternative, or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks ever so! x
@Gill - I know its so hard to find the perfect foundation for you, I would say get some samples of this YSL Teint Resist, Clarins new Everlasting and Collection 2000 Lasting Finish foundation all of which I love great for oily skin but not too matte!try them for a few days and then see!xcx
I love YSL products, this sounds ace.
Thanks for your suggestions Holly. I tried to get a sample of this yesterday in House of Fraser and they said YSL don't do make up samples - great! I think from your review I'm going to take the plunge though, just need to catch the YSL lady when she's in so she can colour match me. I love your blog by the way, really great reviews. Thanks!
Wonderful results! It looks like a perfume bottle though hehehehe
I love this foundation.
just a tip though, when put on heavy...it starts to look like a mask.
with a lighter hand you can cover any blemish you might have and still look natural.
Please let me know if Dior Forever or YSL Teint Resist has a better lasting power as well as sweat proof. Thanks so much!
I just blogged about how disappointed I was with Guerlains "long-lasting" foundation and was recommended this, so Googled and came to this - it looks fab on you, thank you - think you've just made my mind up for me!
I love to laugh and I really don’t take myself too seriously. I became interested in makeup about 5 years ago. I’m always looking for new tips, gossips and small finds to share. I would describe myself as a simple girl who likes to discuss about things that fascinate her. And it is a great pleasure to be your guest blogger today. Thanks for sharing with us.

I just bought YSL Teint Resist 1 because it's the only foundation that really matches my skin tone and - wow I'm blown away at how good it is! A good way to get a little more coverage out of it is to apply it with a sponge. It doesn't need a primer but I use it because of dryness. It's like not having foundation, except that your skin looks at its best! Also, it doesn't transfer at all. It might indeed feel hard to blend if you use a brush.
