Mad about Alice

This is one craze I never thought I'd become obsessed with but everything at the moment seems to be Alice inspired and I'm as mad as a hatter for it all.

Don't be fooled though I'm not a fan of the film which I went to see a few weeks ago and wasn't too impressed, it just wasn't what I thought it would be.

Having said that I'm glad it came out because all the Alice goodies to do with Disney's latest release are lovely!

I had the biggest ordeal trying to get hold of one of these but finally I got the Alice book of shadows thanks to the lovely Pinksealight aka Kelly and NO THANKS to Debenhams who organised the launch very messily.

This is my first Urban Decay product. I have never really been interested in them before, don't ask me why but nothing ever really caught my eye in store.

After using this little set for the past few weeks I have to say I love it, the eyeshadows are all beautiful and the shades offer multiple variations which is fab. The eyeliners are soft and long lasting, I'm loving the blue for underneath the waterline, POP.

Honestly though this is my only negative whats all the fuss with the Primer Potion, I really dislike the consistancy, so watery, I much prefer creamier bases.

All the eyeshadows are slightly glittery, most have a sheen but some are full on glittery which look pretty in the box but on what a nightmare. Drop out all over the place, by midday I have glitter undereyes and on cheeks not a good look.

These are four of my favourites and the ones I reach for the most.
From the left to right, Chessur, a gorgeous tan/gold, Mushroom, a deep greeny taupe, Drink Me, Eat Me, pinky neutral and then Vorpal an amazing grey eggshell blue.

Disney Couture jewellery have also done an amazing new Alice in Wonderland line designed by Tom Binns, I love it all.

I purchased both my items from Accessories Online which I love, they have the best range of good quality but affordable jewellery and amazingly fast service.

These cute stopwatch studs come in both gold and silver with white enamel faces. I just love these on, from far away they look like giant white pearls but up close the detail is beautiful and unique.
They cost around £13 which I think is a bargain for gold plated earrings, I also want the keyhole ones which I will order tomorrow, obsessed much!

I recieved this gorgeous bracelet in the post this morning, this was added to the website last week and I had to buy it straight away!

It is gold plated but not the usual shiny gold, it looks more like a long lost antique key.
This cost £24 but is worth every penny, it is so unique and the gold will stay gold unlike some gold looking jewellery I've bought from the high-street which only last a few weeks.

It seems as though Alice is everywhere at the moment, OPI polishes, Paul and Joe sets and a lot of jewellery is on the high-street too.

Have you been sucked into the Alice hype??
xx

I was tempted to purchase the palette for the 'cute' factor, but after reading reviews, I'm not sure whether it is worth it xx

I have the pallet, I love the colours and they last so much longer than my MAC colours (I've even fallen asleep with make up on while drunk and woke up the next morning and you can STILL see what colour they were!) I'm so impressed with it!

I also have the bracelet in silver which was a present from my best friend for my birthday & the pocket watch necklace in silver from the boy. I love Disney Couture jewellery (I have 3 other necklaces) and I'm so pleased I got the Tom Binns bits, especially the bracelet since it's soo much more delicate than I thought it looked on the website, I thought it looked more like something you could buy in Topshop but now I have it I can see it was worth getting.

LOVE the accessories! very cute indeed!

as for the primer potion, i do love what it does, but i find that whatever product i use on top of it doesn't go on smoothly. the brush will get "stuck" in parts and will leave more product on that one part than everywhere else. which makes it a PAIN to blend.

i dunno, maybe i just need more practice?

I've been looking everywhere to get this palette,I was so curious about it even though I've read mixed opinions on it.
It's a shame that new products launch in Italy is such a fail!
I mean, the movie has been out for a while now, it's just stupid not to take advantage of the buzz...Sephora carries the Urban Decay range, and when I asked them about this palette (mind you it was the Milan Duomo's store, the biggest one in Italy) they were like "huh?what palette?"
C'mon people, get with the program!

I like some of the eyeshadows, esp the neutral ones from your swatch, but glitter falling all over the place? no thank you! (does it happens with an eye primer on too?)

I agree with your opinion on the primer potion... I think the Artdecò one is much better (plus you get a lot of product for less than 15€!), and I've tried 3 cargo primers from a palette that I bought and they are amazing!
(Here's a swatch of the cargo eye primers: http://bit.ly/d1ZEGA )

Your key bracelet is just stunning!!! Love!!! <3

Regarding UDPP, mine's quite thick and creamy (a little less thick than say toothpaste), it shouldn't be watery, perhaps yours might be a bit faulty...?

Nice. I love the smell of fresh fruit on my skin, that's why I often choose scrubs and lotions.
