Now, from my title you probably assume I'm talking about waxing, nail polish or maybe even foundation but no not in my books, the best invention ever has to be the Tangle Teezer!!!!
This simple but not very attractive piece of plastic which somewhat resembles a horse grooming brush or child's nit removing device has saved my hair and more importantly buckets of time in the morning.
I've been colouring my hair for the past 10 years, yes I know it's bad for it but I always feel a little brighter and happier the blonder I go. Left to it's natural devices my hair would be a murky, mousey blondey/brown just for reference but anyway I'm sure a lot of you understand my problem.
So ten years on still addicted to peroxide and hair straighteners my hair isn't in the best of shape, I always get split ends and find my hair is so tangled that untangling is a daily form of torture.
Although my hair may appear sleek, simple and easy to look after trust me it is not. Getting a comb/brush through my hair in the morning after a shower has been a daily struggle for as long as I can remember.
I often resemble the women below!
The battle with my hair could on some days take at least ten minutes of careful and painfully slow de-tangling section by section.
I've been ummming and ahhing about purchasing the Tangle Teezer for a long, long time but I took the plunge last week and purchased one from ASOS. I can't tell you how happy I am that I did, this has made a HUGE difference to my routine and hopefully in the long run my hair.
I now do not have to split my hair into sections I just lightly towel dry it and slide the contraption through, there is no strain or pull and it glides through so gently as though I'm not brushing at all.
I'm not going to pretend I know how this works but it DOES. I use it on both wet or dry hair and it miraculously eradicates all knots and tangles without even a pinch of pain. Bye bye tangles and hello healthy, happy hair.
They cost under £10 which is a complete bargain for the results it gives and I spotted in Boots yesterday that they come in new styles and colours. I have the Original but have ordered the Compact and love the new Flowerpot for Lily from their website.
If you have tangle prone hair like I used to then you have to try these, they will change your life! Has anyone else tried the Tangle Teezer? What did you think?

I swear by this brush!
I only ever use it when my hair is wet, just like you I've been bleaching my hair for YEARS, and it does really make light work of knots and tangles.
I wouldn't be without it now.
Nikki
Buying one from their website right now! Thanks for the tip Holly :)
Totally agree....they sell them in Mothercare too FYI
I haven't tried it, but have heard about it. I have thick curly knotty hair, I think I need one!
just bought one now :) x
ive given up on even brushing my hair due to my tangles! will definitely be buying this! thank u for sharing this with us =D
As a fellow hair colourer, I feel your tangle pain, mine makes me wince every morning and when it's wet it's a nightmare. I can't believe I have never bought one before, am going to skip into Boots ASAP! xx
The only way I can get my hair untangled is by teasing it too, but I'm sure this device will make it much easier! Thanks for the review Holly!
I bought one in pink a few months ago...totally agree, it really does make such a difference! xx
I have this and it works like magic on my knotty hair!

@Everyone - so glad this review was helpful and hope you enjoy pain free detangling soon!xx
I really need one of these in my life! It sounds great!
I remember when this was rejected on Dragons Den haha they must regret that. Sounds fantastic. Although, my short lank hair never gets exciting enough to tangle. xx
This sounds really interesting and worth a try, although I swear by my Aveda paddle brush for getting rid of knots, I am all for trying new things! xx
I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and it's magic - like you, I have no idea how it works, it just does.
Last time I was in Boots I noticed that they have another one out called the compact styler which has got me tempted now!

Thank you! However, you have to trust me, my skin is not at all perfect without foundation.
I am very reluctant to post pictures of me without it (you'd see red patches and discolorations all over the place), but I might have to do a blog post on my "secrets for a nice (apparently!) skin".
It's a combination of many factors.
Btw, this tool is very interesting, I might purchase it from ASOS next month!
wow, I'm in the U.S. so I've never even heard of this but you totally got me googling this! I'm going to buy one now because of you, Holly! Thank you so much for this, my tangly hair is a travesty!
I remember when this was on Dragon's Den, the creator has made £££££
I've been umming and ahhhing about buying one of these for a while, I'll get round to it eventually!
I have the same problem w/ my hair, it's soo tangly. I need to look into this!
I bought one while in England after not wanting to spend so much on it. OMG I'm in love and have gifted one to a friend with a child with thick hair and after she overcame the plastic gift has thanked me heaps of times for it.
I have now bought the new travel one with the bristle protector and I'm stalking the mail man
I love the tangle teezer, I've had the pink one for about 6 months and I love it, It makes combing my hair a pleasure after washing it rather than a painful chore! I didn't know they did a mini one, I may have to buy one as it would be perfect to put in my bag.
Oh wow! This looks amazing. I too after 8 years of dying my hair blonde have created a tangle monster and dread having to de-tangle it everymorning. This is a MUST purchase.. thank u for bringing it to our attention! :D xx

I 've heard good stuff about this, and VERY tempted to buy it now, after reading your review...!!!
Must make a mental note to add it whenever I make an asos order!
Hope it will help, as my hair is extremely unmanageable, just like you described yours!
xx
I find that there is usually a reason for tangles bleach can make hair really knotty and also product build up which is easily solved with a good clarirying shampoo I'm sure there must be a reason for your tangles.
