Quite possibly the prettiest lipstick ever

An innocent trip to pick up a meal deal at Boots turned into a YSL indulgence session. I hold the shiny gold packaging responsible, I can never resist it.

After repurchasing my must have mascara, Singulier and my all time favourite liquid liner, YSL's Moire in the number six I was just about to pay when I spotted this.

It is quite possibly the most beautiful lipstick I have ever seen. A lovely milky mix of baby pink and pale lilac.

I had to have it.

YSL undoubtedly make the best lipsticks. They smell delicious, feel seriously smooth, are never drying and come in the most amazing array of shades.

Number 93 is a Rouge Pure Shine from their latest Summer 2010 collection and also has a matching gloss in the shade 7 which I resisted buying today but will no doubt go back for.

This lipstick however does have a down side, it is a Pure Shine formula so it is very sheer and has little colour payoff. It is not a lipstick for those that love the look of lipstick, it is more of a tinted lip balm.

Personally, I don't mind this for the summer as it's nice to have a lip product that gives a slight colour to the lips while moisturising and looking glossy but also protecting from the sun with an SPF.

Although I know this is going to be my summer lip staple as it's so pretty I can't help wishing it was a Rouge Volupte shade. It would be truly amazing with just that little bit more coverage.

Are you a fan of sheer lipsticks or do you need more colour from your lippie?

I love, love, LOVE this colour! It's amazing, perfect for summer days out, when like you say you don't want such a massive impact of colour.. I don't own any YSL lipsticks yet, but this may just be my first! - Thanks for posting x

This looks so pretty - the packaging is amazing, too. I'm only just getting into lilac-y lipsticks but this is definitely on my wishlist...the sheer texture will be perfect for summer. x

This one looks really beautiful on you.
I prefer sheer texture because any sheer color harmonize more with whole look, so it is harder to go wrong. I'm so pragmatic :)

i have the coral one from last year, i agree if only the colour was a little stronger its so frustrating as it is one of the few lippys that doesnt dry your lips out! x

What about layering it over something like the Viva Glam Lady Gaga lippie? But alone it does look very pretty!

This looks lovely!

I have another shade from this Pure Shine range, one they came out with last summer, and I loved it! You 'll definitely find that it's an amazing and moisturising lipstick, great for the warmer months! :)

Holly, you're such a bad (yet good!) influence! I went out and picked it up yesterday and it is AMAZING. I've never really liked Rouge Pur Shines (I have the Frozen Mango one but rarely use it) because other YSL lip products are so much better -- but this color is gorgeous! It's really hard to photograph how lovely it is. I posted about it on my blog today. Love!! Have you tried the Summer collection lip glosses? They're stunning. YSL has really become my favorite cosmetics brand, I think. :)

I think pink is a safe and nice color for most during the ho9t summer months and the mild morning dressings.Though there is a change to coral and peach this summer...pinks are evergreen.
