YSL Rouge Pur Couture

YSL in my opinion make the best lipsticks by far. I have little if not zero restraint for them if I ever visit their counter.

As if their colour selection wasn't already amazing enough they have added a whopping 18 new Autumn perfect shades to their selection in the form of Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks.

They are all beautiful, there so many shades I am now coveting. All have the famous silky smooth texture, give a lovely shiny finish but most surprisingly for YSL, lasting power.

Yes that's right, they actually stay put on the lips!!

So which shades did I buy? Bet you can't guess...

Bet you can!

Naturally I picked up the lightest of the bunch Number 6, a very natural mid-tone peachy nude and a bit more surprising for me Number 9, a plummy pink.

Number 9

I am really into plum shades at the moment and this range had about four, I went for the one with the pinkest undertone to ease me into the colour. As a nude lover who rarely ventures away from neutrals this is a big step for me.

I must say I'm loving the change, when swatched and in the tube Number 9 is much darker but when applied it is this lovely deep raspberry pink on my lips.

Moving into my safety zone swiftly here is Number 6 for all you nude addicts.

Number 6

Wow right!! There isn't much I can say about this shade really except that it is stunning and unique.

How can this be unique you ask? Well, I am not joking when I say I went through my ENTIRE lipstick collection which consists of 95% nudes and not one compared!

Most of my nudes are much lighter whereas this is a more wearable mid-tone peachy nude great for medium skin tones I imagine.

How does it compare to other YSL nudes?

In their gorgeous golden cases there doesn't look like there is much between my nude Volupte's, Pur Couture and Rouge Pur but all have slightly different undertones.

Although the new Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks still have that same velvety consistency YSL is famous for, the new range also offers colour longevity which is a real bonus when your forking out £22 for a lippie.

I wore Number 9 all Saturday night and it lasted a good five hours without touch ups, not bad when your cocktail sipping hey. Number 6 as a paler colour doesn't last quite so long but still much improved to the other YSL's I own, probably about 2 hours before retouching is needed.

Overall I think it's definitely worth checking out the new Couture range if your a lipstick addict like me or you'd like to treat yourself to a little luxury they are well worth it.

With 18 shades to choose from I'm sure there are a few that will catch everyones eye.

Have you seen these yet? What do you think?

I love the look of these and I am especially excited by the nude. I really struggle to wear most nudes as they're just TOO light. Do you think this might work on me bird? xx

I love the nude color because it looked more natural. But I guess I could only try the number 9 since I am already pale enough. I think it is good to know that the lipstick lasted for five hours. Thanks for sharing the good lipstick review. And your collection looked very nice.
