Although the boys may be left a little disappointed with what they find on here, I hope your not, as this happens to be one exciting find.
From afar, first impressions were good; Looks wise it had a Givenchy Prisme thing going on mixed with a hint of a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick.
An interesting combination that had me intrigued instantly so I swatched the pink version, Blushalicious and almost squealed with delight at what I saw (sad aren't I).
This is my dream blush palette, I just love it.
So we've established I like the shades but what about the colour payoff?
Surprisingly it's really, really good. As good as any high end blush and the formula is just as soft too, a real winner!
Now, the name Shimmer Shades would suggest a slightly glittery product but luckily this isn't the case, the powder does have a slight pearlescent finish but no chunky sparkles!
Well, the first time I applied this I loved it but I couldn't put my finger on what it reminded me of until I got my Deep Throat out the other day.
When all the colours are swirled together it makes the above colour, a true pinky peach which as you can see is almost identical to the colour of Deep Throat.
If the Nars blusher at a whopping £21 is a little out of reach at the moment then Blushalicious is a great dupe for less than a quarter of the price!
The four shades are designed to be used easily with a normal blush sized brush alone, in pairs or mixed in whatever colour combination you like, big thumbs up from me!!
Personally I love the bottom two shades mixed together the best.
The funny thing about this product is that I guarantee if a high-end cosmetics company had bought this out I'd have paid serious cash for it but this cost just over £4 making it a seriously good buy!
What good dupes have you come across recently? I'd love to know, there's nothing better than finding one!!

@aphrosie - it is so gorgeous! x
Great dupe! So great that it's so cheap too. Looks great on you and the first part of your post made me chuckle :)
A friend of mine who works in the cosmetic industry told me once that some products were in fact identical. For example Bourjois eyeshadows are the same formulation as Chanel, as they're made by the same company. I'm sceptical but my friend insists it's true. What do you think?
@Sophie - my new favourite, Clarins Wonder Lash xx
Great find! That looks gorgeous on you
Great find! I'm always a bit of a snob and walk past collection 2000 due to the naf packaging and reminds me of being a teenager!
But this colour is gorgeous. Will be going to look1 Thanks for sharing!
Did you notice if they do a bronzer version? xx
@Laura (liparazzi) - i know youll just love it!! oh yeh haha! xx

I have both of these, I seriously love the shimmer shades. I recently reviewed them both and said how it was a summer must have. Such great colour for a fabulous price.
That is so pretty I'll definitely look out for that x
Wow the finish is so natural! Very impressive. It would be great for travelling too :) Great post!
That is such a perfect dupe! Nars deepthroat looks beautiful on you. On me it doesn't look quite as peachy, but I still love it!
Not only a dupe of NARS but looks like a dupe of the Jill Stuart blush compact. :)
Jill Stuart has a line of REEEEAAAlly expensive makeup
a good dupe ive found is the boots 17 blush in first flush i think its called, its only a few pound and its very close to mac bite of an apple blusher, its just abit pinker.
This looks so good and such a great dupe. I was eyeing this up the other day in Boots but decided not to purchase it x Looks like I should'a! :) x
Looks soooo pretty on the skin. Im gutted because I seen this the other day and passed it by. Seeing it on the skin has made me want it, gorgeous colour x x x
I saw this yesterday but was put off by the hideous packaging. Just goes to show I shouldn't just a book by its cover!
I bought this on my lunch break yesterday along with the bronzing one, which I'm actually wearing as eyeshadow today (the bronzing one, not the blush one!)! I just went into Superdrug to buy facial wipes and had a double take when I saw these, they are really lovely and you can't beat the price.x
I really thought this was Givenchy when I saw the first pic! It's gorgeous and looks so lovely on your skin. I'll be checking out your mascara too!

I thought you'd studied journalism? Is spelling and grammar not a requirement any more?
@Andrea - yes it is but I'm human and make mistakes sometimes. No sub-editors here.
