I find being restrained online easy, the page closes and I destract myself by opening another site, but resisting the urge to buy makeup in store is almost impossible for me, hence this very small haul.
I couldn't say no!
I saw, I swatched, I purchased.
It's funny, the one thing I walked away with was not even considered in my online basket. I'd originally wanted Warmth of Coral blusher (bit too orange), Pure Magnificence lipglass (similar to some I have) and the 234 split brush (would be impossible to blend with).
Anyway, the product I did like which surprised me the most was one of the MSF's (Mineralized Skinfinish) in Rose Quartz.
I dismissed this originally due to it's design, the strange blob of swirly, sparkly colours was quite frankly bazaar and not something that appealed to my superficial self, I also thought it looked too similar to Stereo Rose.
Boy was I wrong.
It's nothing like Stereo Rose as you can see above. Stereo Rose is much peachier and deeper in colour whereas Rose Quartz is more of a true pink with a definite blue undertone.
Muhsine's (Bubblegarm) has some great swatches on her blog, check out her Semi Precious haul here.
As it's a mineral powder the pink section is very soft and easy to work with, like all MSF's it's very glowy, almost pearlised in finish which adds a beautiful sheen when applied.
Although the middle precious stone portion is a little chunkier in texture it's not difficult to work with.
Rose Quartz eliminates the need for a separate highlighter (me lazy, never!) and acts as a 2 in 1 by adding colour and a soft sheen which I think looks beautiful on the skin.
Although mineralized collections always look pretty, some products are better for looking at than using which is why I passed on everything else, the blogger in me not that long ago wouldn't have though (learning restraint, clearly).
Oh and you can purchase the new collection in store or online at Mac, Selfridges or Debenhams! Good to know in case anything gets sold out on one site.
Did you get your glow on with Semi Precious or pass it up??

This looks gorgeous on you, so glowy! Those MSFs scared me a bit, I thought the middle bit would just be a big glittery mess. Obviously not!
x
@Sarah - thank you, it is rather glowy yes! no not glittery but almost pearlised, a softer glow! xx
These look soo pretty Holly...From the swatch I thought the shimmer would look obvious...but its looking beautiful and so glowyyy...looks lovely on you...!!! :)
Hey sweets..
Talking of foundation im after a new higher end one & wondering what you would recommend for someone with very oily skin.. x
That goes so good with your skin color!
Great post, I picked up Rose uartz & Pearl! And then Ever Hip because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I also picked up the lovely Collection 2000 blusher you blogged about the other week and love them all! :) I must blog about them all! lol Oh and I found a very similar match for Nars Bolero, it's not an exact dupe but it's good enough for me :) x
rose quartz looks so pretty on you, really compliments your skin tone! i've been a bit put off by some swatches ive seen but on the skin, it looks like it gives a lovely glow! x
This looks soooo pretty x x
Your hair is looking so light at the moment honey - maybe a little too light. I think a darker, warmer tone would be nicer on you.
This product looks gorgeous on your cheeks xx
It looks amazing! Such a soft sheen, and I lovee the pale pink!

I like the look of this...I had been trying to avoid a Mac haul!ha ha.
Lovely swatch and I love how this looks on fair skin. Definitely something for me to consider picking up!
How gorgeous does this look on your cheeks! So dewy and fresh! I'm exactly the same as you - I can't wear any kind of foundation other than matte ones so I mix it up with shimmery/glowy blushes and highlights so as not to look like a corpse...hahaha! <3 xoxox
this looks lovely! and your eyebrows look especially nice here! :)
This does look gorgeous but I managed to resist. Looks lovely on you x
I need this! it looks gorgeous! I don't usually wear pink blusher but this is very light and blue under toned like you said, i think it would work! :)
i was humming and arring over rose quartz for 2 days but because i thought it was like stereo rose i passed and got alpha girl from the fashion flower range instead, i was going to get warmth of coral too but changed my mind as i have several mac peachy blushers and im only buying unique things to my collection at the moment.
@misssweetiepie - ohhh no question about it has to be Chanel Mat Lumiere liquid foundation xx
@Sherrie - ohhh good hauling!! whats the dupe then ?? spill, love Bolero xx
@Andrea - yeh I know, new salon kind of ruined my hair, spoke about it in my videos, very annoying1! Can't afford to rectify until next appointment :( xx
@Liparazzi - you must get, would suit you xx
@Anna Saccone - exactly, no flat faces for us :) xx
@KerryMarie- this swatch does not show so well but yes its a cool toned so would work xcc
It has this nice natural glow, which looks great on you! :)
<3 Dee
Ta doll and the best powder to set with. X
Also doll would you recommend mat lumiere over the dior forever extreme foundation.. x
@misssweetiepie - hmm i love both foundations but i find mat lumiere shades better match and more natural on the skin, forever is great but heavier. depends what you like! setting powder I use is YSL matte and radiant powder, which i heard is discountiued :( but still have at counters xx
Wicked thank you very much for your advice sweets.. I was thinking about getting the new chanel aqua but have changed my mind and am going to pick up the mat lumiere instead :o) xx
I like the hair, I think it really makes your skin stand out, makes it look extra-perfect. I'm not usually a fan of platinum, very few people can pull it off without looking vulgar or just unflattering. But i like it on you! x
@Diana - aw thanks, hehe vulgar!! glad i don't look vulgar xxx
Nice!
That colour is lovely! great mix of pinks :)

I also go this and the other msfs.. I was so surpised how easy they are to work with and how nice they look. People say it was a crap collection.. I do feel many shades were predictable but I was really happy with my stuff!! xxx
Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see the vidoe. I didn't realise that it wasn't what you intended. Sorry if I upset you! x
@Andrea - you didn't upset me, no worries!! :) x
i bought this product but everytime i look in the mirror i see green particles of glitter which i have to flick off my face, do you think theres anyway to avoid this?x
This is one of my favourites too and I too have worn it every day since I purchased it. Bizarrely I have not noticed the chunkiness in the middle section, I have read that on a couple of other blogs too but mine is smooth.
This is a fab highlighter and blusher in one x
this looks so gorgeous! xx
