The Shellac came off after 18 days (impressive, hey) and I was in desperate need of a drastic change of scenery, coral for that long can bore anyone.
So, like a magpie I spotted the sparkliest thing I could find, which happened to be on the shelves of the Gosh section.
Out of the ten shades available I chose classic gold and grey moonstone.
Paint and put in a pot - voila!
All you need:
- A black nail polish, I used NYC Expert Last in City Blackout
- A nail glitter pot by Gosh
- A clear nail polish, I used one by Nailene
- A good top coat, I used First and Last by Chinaglaze
It looks so much harder than it is, honestly, its pip squeezy.I painted two layers of the black polish (when dried) then applied the clear polish along the tip as if doing a french manicure then I poured some glitter into the lid of the pot and tipped over my nail immediately.
I then gently blew off the excess and when dry applied a top coat. See, simples!
I can't say enough how much I love these, I prefer the look of the loose glitter so much more than any sparkly polishes I've tried and they allow you to be so much more creative.
The pots are £3.99 each and a must have for any magpies like me!
Will you be sprinkling your nails with stardust?

Yours look great! I tried the glitter pots and all I made was a mess!
@followibng the fashion - thank you xx
@zoe - they are messy but super easy to do, i found the best way wss not to dip it in as they suggest but pour on top! xx
love these, did you wait for the black polish to dry before putting the clear polish on top? xx
They look beautiful - also reminded me that I really need to buy some new black nail polish!
I saw this at thier last event and was looking online the other day for it and couldn't see it! I think I will have to make the effort to look in their larger stores for it :) You did a great job! Xx
I actually bought the gold one of these a couple of days ago but haven't tried it yet, it looks gorgeous! Will have to re-do my nails tomorrow now! x

Absolutely love these and they look so professional. Need to get to a Superdrug!
This looks amazing! Cannot wait to try it out xx
They look so good! If the glitter is easier to get off than glitter polishes then I may have to get it :) x
Looks lovely but how had is it to take off? I've seen these but was put off thinking it will be as annoying as glitter polish! x
A good way of making it less messy and save every drop of sparkle is to get a piece of card or paper, fold it in half and then pour over the glitter with your finger resting in the V of the fold. The card will catch the glitter that falls off and you can pour it back into the pot easily.
Your nails look amazing!! I am such a magpie, totally keeping a look out for these glitter pots in my local Superdrug. Thanks for sharing!
Your nails look great, I love this look :)
I hate taking glitter off my nails though - it always leaves my poor nails so abused!!
