A meaningful weekend

Life sometimes passes by so fast that we don't have the chance to just sit and appreciate it.

I know I'm guilty of this; I seem to always focus on the negative things in life and rarely stop to think just how lucky I am and how beautiful the world is.

This is getting a little profound so I'll stop now, after all this is a beauty blog or supposed to be!

So I'll cut to the chase.

The past weekend for me was the first time in a really long time that I felt inspired and to be truly honest, really happy.

Lily and I

Lily and some strange sculpture!

Dad. Grandpa, younger brother and Lily

Brunch! Yummy!

On Sunday my dad dragged my grandparents, brother, Lily and me to the cinema to see an independent film. He works in the arts so often tries to take us to cultural things you see, some of which are great and others just plain odd!

Life in a Day

Filmed across 180 countries by over 40,000 individuals who posted their clips on YouTube of a single day in their lives, 24th June 2010, it's magical and eye opening.

Watch this film and I guarantee you will feel inspired, simply by life.

I know this is random but I just wanted to share some pictures with you and the film which I doubt has been publicised much. Has anyone else seen it?

It's really important to treasure what you have and who is in your life. People should stop and think more about these things because life is short!xxx
