Anyway, on to the little acquisition and little it is.
This dinky lipstick is one of the three Le French Touch shades from Lancome's current Spring collection, Rosarie des Delices and from the picture above you can probably see why I fell in love. Isn't the retro candy stripe packaging gorgeous?
It may sound deeply superficial, I know, but if it hadn't been for the cute casing that caught my eye then I probably would have never checked out the Lancome counter and found it.
Since then it's been a permanent fixture both on my lips and in my make-up bag; it's size, formula and shade make it the perfect 'on the go' companion for me.
Deceptively bright, don't let its shocking pink, matte exterior fool you. Soft Marshmallow (316) when applied is none of those things. As you can see below it is much softer in shade on the lips than the tiny tube suggests and has a surprisingly glossy finish to it.
Lancome describe it's formula as a 'Bare Lips Sensation', a nice description that I tend to agree with. The consistency is moisturising but not heavy, glossy but not wet, it almost melts into the lips.
Bare lips but better!
Shade wise it also really reminds me of an old lipstick love of mine, Colour Crafted. If your a die hard Macaholic then you may remember it, this is very similar in colour to it just glossier! Lovely!
In general I'm a huge fan of these all in one, balm/lipstick/gloss hybrid formulas, they are just so effortless to wear, offering just a dash of colour with a soft, sheeny finish. Some others I love are Dior Addicts Singuliere, the 17 Mirror Shine range and Shu Uemura's Shine Supreme range, all fabulous and worth looking at!
Do you love all in one's too or do you prefer a more opaque lipstick?

As soon as I saw this colour I was about to compare it to Dior's Singuliere which you also mentioned! I like sheer bright pinks as I find them a lot more wearable for everyday.
Ooh I like the look of the leopard fur makeup bag in the background! :)
