The Only Way Is Essex is one of my (many) guilty pleasures, in fact, all dramality shows are and I'm not ashamed to admit it!
If your as hooked as I am, then you'll have seen last Sunday's episode, which showed the launch party for Lauren's Way; Lauren Goodger's new boutique. And... I bet you can't guess who was there can you?
Well, apart from the stars of the show, I was!!
Getting the invite was a total 'Shut Up' (English translation 'No Way!') moment and despite not living anywhere near Essex I knew I had to go.
Aside from the excitement I was a little worried about my appearance, yes, I like to look after myself but Essex girls take grooming to a whole other level.
In an attempt to keep up with them and get myself looking a little bit Reem, prep for the launch started the day before. I booked in to get my nails Shellac'd in the shade Hollywood (FYI) and even went as far as getting lash extensions done (post to come)!
Extreme I know, but it was either those or a tan and seeing as tan and I don't always get along I didn't want to risk it this time. Anyway, the next day after a couple of hours primping with Anne (TheSatiricalStylist) I thought I was glam enough to hit the road and make my way down to Essex.
HOW WRONG WAS I?!
As soon as we stepped foot in the door it was clear we were no way near as 'reemed' up as the women of Essex with their uber tans, glossy manes and fabulous falsies. Needless to say I felt thoroughly under dressed, unmade-up and utterly jel!!
All is not lost for me it seems though and this is where Lauren's boutique comes in handy; it's your one stop shop to getting TOWIE-FIED.
I expected it to be a full on salon but it isn't at all, it's more of a pamper parlour really; somewhere you'd go to prepare for a big night on the town.
Lauren's Way offers a nice variety of instant fixes, such as her Glam Out (£50) package which includes having your hair, nails, make-up and instant tan done all with a glass of the pink stuff thrown in.
If you don't want the whole works there are also spray tans for £15, smokey eyes and lash application for £18, threading for £5 and many more. Reem!
I love this idea, it makes even getting ready totally glamorous.
Includes - Debbie, Lauren Goodger, Lydia Rose Bright, Frankie Essex, Georgina Dorsett and Imogen Thomas.
Here are a few pictures from the night, I was a little shy initially but after one or two glasses of bubbly I was brave enough to ask for fan girl pics and even ask them a few questions!
If you want to find out about the Towie girls make-up must haves and a few random facts then check out Anne's blog posts and videos from the launch here and here.
It's a shame I don't live a little closer as I reckon Lauren's Way will soon become the place to prep come weekends from now on! Oh well, at least I can try some tan from home, hey?
I've heard great things about it, have any of you guys tried it yet? Any tips for applying it, I'm a fake tan wimp!
