Whenever I find a product as good as that I usually snap up every (wearable) shade in the range and I certainly would of, but for some reason 99% of all the other colours of which there were 44 (!!) contained glitter. A complete 'no go' for me.
Luckily though, just before I'd given up all hope of ever owning another one of Dior's triple threat (balm/colour/gloss) lipsticks again, they released four more within their new ultra girly Spring/Summer collection, Cherie Bow.
Dior Candide #457
It has been a long time coming Dior, but boy was the wait worth it. Every single one of the new shades in this collection is seriously beautiful - I want them all, but as they say I want never gets so I ended up walking away with just one. This time!
Meet Candide #457 a sickly sweet candy pink.
Close up!I know sickly isn't the nicest way to describe something, especially lipstick, but when you see Candide on the lips you'll understand. It has this almost tacky, slightly artificial tone to it - a bit YSL Lingerie Pink-esque that I'm sure not everyone will like.
Needless to say I love it :)
Obligatory hand/lip swatch.
I briefly mentioned above how amazing the formula of the Addict lipsticks are, and Candide is no exception. It's effortless to apply, hydrating on the lips, offers just the right about of colour and has the most gloriously glossy finish. All good, almost...
The only bad thing I've found about this shade is that it isn't a flaky skins friend at all; before you apply make sure you buff, buff and buff a little more to get the best results.
Oh and another thing, before I forget Candide is of course like most things I like, limited edition. So if sickly sweet is your kind of shade or one of the other three takes your fancy, be quick!
Have you seen Dior's new Cherie Bow collection? What have you got your eye on?
